Life's Directions and Paths of Generosity

Learn to make short or long term decisions according to the spirituality of St. Ignatius. Are you happy in your work? With your life? With what lies ahead? Come to a two week seminar to learn the principles of decision making. This two part series is designed especially for young adults. Join Fr. Roide for wine and cheese as he explores the process of discernment. Registration required. Forms are available at the entrances of the church and in the Spiritual Life Center. Space is limited.

Church History

Join Fr. Cameron Ayers, S.J. for this three part series covering the history of the Church, from the days of the apostles to the Dark Ages, through the Reformation and up to the modern day. Highlights will include the early Church Councils which set the language we still use for discussing the divinity of Christ and the Trinity, Francis of Assisi, Dominic, and some of the best and worst popes in history! We will consider how and why the Reformation happened... and even tell a few stories about the beginning of the Jesuits. We will look at what happened from the Council of Trent up through the Second Vatican Council and will discuss the Church's missionary activity as well as its focus on social issues.

18" to God: A Heart and Mind Approach to Prayer and Discernment

The Jesuits of the California province present a "Summer Spirituality Series" for young adults (ages 18-40) and other members of the St. Ignatius parish community. A three-day spiritual "summer vacation" using interactive presentations and activities that stimulate the mind and engage the affect. This three-day series will instruct you on different ways of praying, listening and discerning God's will for your life through an experience of Ignatian Spirituality that is sure to rejuvenate your mind, body, and spirit, as individuals, families and as members of a parish community.
